Love & Theft – Joel Crouse // SOLD OUT
Joel Crouse:
So originally Joel wasn’t even mentioned as an opener for this show; he tweeted
out in the afternoon that he’d be opening the show with an acoustic set, just
him and his guitar. I screamed when I read the tweet, that’s how excited I was
to see Joel again. And let me tell you, he never disappoints. Since he was a
last minute addition to the show there were a few technical issues when he was
on stage, but he continuously apologized for the awkwardness. But when
everything was going smoothly, he had the full attention of the room. With only
his guitar he commanded that stage and had all the eyes watching as he put
everything into his songs. I thoroughly enjoy watching him as he sang through
songs he’s put out to radio and tracks he’s working on for the next album. I’ve
gotta say I’m really happy that Stephen & Eric brought him along for this
show so I could inhale his dope vibes yet again.
Love & Theft: These guys are F I R E. I’ve seen them multiple
times before this but yet they still manage to blow me away every single time.
Well I can say with all my heart that this time was better than any other time
with them, and honestly I think it may be the best show I’ve been to period.
The guys played a variety of songs, including tunes from all three of their
albums and some of the best cover songs [the ones they sang are actually some
of my all time fave songs]. I could go on for days raving ‘bout how incredible
they are, because it’s the dang truth, but I’d have a 500 page book written
before I was finished. They’ve had me hooked since day 1, and I can never get
enough. Not to mention, Stephen and Eric are two of the best people you will
ever meet. I deeply believe that they have the talent to reach a level of fame
that Brooks & Dunn hold within country music, if not more. Even without the
backing of a record label, they’ve released their latest album and given the
fans the best of themselves. We’re all
entitled to our own opinions so whether you agree or not, I believe that these
guys have the potential that’s needed to be a legendary duo within country
music. And trust me, you’ll see me promoting them endlessly, because they
are 110% deserving of the success.
So before the show I was able to meet up with the guys
and do what quickly became the funniest interview. If you haven’t watched the
interview yet, what are you doing with your life?! Go watch it here now – http://www.thetennesseelife.com/2015/03/artist-interview-love-theft.html.
Then after the show I met back up with the guys for the M&G. They even hung
around the bar after the show to hang out and have a drink. I never get tired of being around these guys,
they’re the best kind of friends you could ever have. Seriously, I’m so glad to
know them. I also got my fix of hanging with Joel, as I talked to him a few
times throughout the night. He’s another sweetheart to have around. Stay tuned to TL for what’s to come, you
just never know who we could have an interview with. Hint, hint.
My outfit for the night consisted of a Love &
Theft tee paired with some jeans and a Brandy Melville flannel tied around my
waist. For shoes I chose my Timberlands [my current shoe obsession]. The
finishing touch was the L&T ball cap I bought at the show.
Let me leave y’all with this, both Joel and the guys
of Love & Theft have bright futures in country music. They have a way of
connecting with their fans that would make anyone want to support them. And
beyond that, the music speaks for itself. It will hit you in just the right
spot and it will fill the empty space that you didn’t even know existed.
