SINGLE REVIEW: Biscuits // Kacey Musgraves

"Pouring salt in my sugar won't make yours any sweeter.
Pissin' in my yard ain't gonna make yours any greener"

There's a new sassy single on the market and it belongs to the same people behind the 2013 hit Follow Your Arrow. That's right, the trio of songwriters behind the jam have linked up again to write Kacey Musgraves' new single. Kacey, Shane McAnally, and 2015 Grammy nominated Best New Artist Brandy Clark are the brains behind the 'biscuits' so to speak.

The song is upbeat, pithy, and completely full of sass. Based around the idea of ‘nosey neighbors’ and people who worry too much about others, the lyrics are forceful and witty.

“I wouldn't know about the rocks in your shoes.
So I'll just do me and honey you can just do you”

Musgraves, McAnally, and Clark fill the song from start to finish with entertaining and sharp remarks for that one nosey person we all know in life.

The song is country to the core and will thrive on country radio. HOWEVER, the song has the potential to send Kacey Musgraves into the Taylor Swift way of music; the crossover. Biscuits could land on few pop radars too.

So, is this new single a look into the future of Kacey Musgraves and her album set to release sometime this year?
If so, she may go home with some new hardware for her mantle in the time that follows.
CMA's, ACM's, Grammy's.

Biscuits (and Musgraves' future) looks yummy…we mean bright.
