Lee Brice // [2.13.2015]
The Kirby F.M. // Wilkes-Barre,
PA
Every time I see
Lee Brice, he leaves me wanting more. My boyfriend and I have seen this man
perform several times in a variety of venues from fire station fields to the
fanciest of theaters. Wherever Brice is playing, he will always show all of his
sides while up on stage. Jams like Drinking
Class, Beer, and Parking lot Party let the audience see
the rugged, party side of Brice. But his fans are also familiar with hits like Woman Like You and I Drive Your Truck where his passion in his lyrics can bring the
listener to tears.
When artists get
to a certain place in their career, they need to start cutting a handful of
songs from their set list. Brice decided to let his band have a break and take
a moment to play pieces of songs from throughout the career along with
recapping some high moments. One of these high point was the honor of
performing a song on stage that he helped write with the recording artist. That
artist is Garth Brooks, some of you may have heard of him.
Best
Moment //
Of course, Lee Brice played his most recent number
one, I Don’t Dance. This song moves
me anytime I hear it live. In fact, the first time I heard it performed live
[which was the first time I heard it] back in October of 2013, it drove me to
tears because I had the love of my life standing right there with me. That song
is special to us, as I’m sure it is to many couples.
What
I Wore //
Often times,
Dave and I do not get reserved seating, but this venue did not have any
standing room sections. Because I could sit if I wanted to or needed to, I
finally felt confident wearing heels to a show. I wore my five inch black
wedges with my Tribe Kelley Midnight Bells. On top, I had my road trip tee from
Urban Outfitters. My look was completed by my Tribe Kelley // Knot & Bow
druzy cuff.
Dave is sporting
a tee and jeans [this will be a reoccurring motif].
