A Thousand Horses

When I heard that these guys were comin’ back to town to put on a few show, I just about screamed. I first saw these fellas back in October when they came to town with Frankie Ballard, opening for him during the Light ‘Em Up Tour. They immediately made me think of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I wasn’t shy about my opinion either, I told Michael & Zach that I felt they had the same vibe as the southern rock band.
This particular was a free show courtesy of a local radio station, and the band only played a total of seven songs. The crowd wasn’t large, but they still had the crowd rockin’. All of the songs played that night are included on their upcoming album, Southernality. Thanks to the radio station playing their single Smoke, the crowd helped to sing along when it came time.

I’m that girl that gets to the venue hours before the show so I can be the first one in when doors open, that way I can secure my prime front row spot. Well, it paid off for me this night. One of the guys who were there with the radio station came over to me and asked if I’d be interested in meeting the band. Clearly being the concert junkie and music lover that I am, I said yes immediately. It wasn’t anything fancy, just a photograph, but I’ll always take the opportunity to see the artists.

The style for this show was laid back to the max. I decided to wear the A Thousand Horses tee that I have and paired it with some skinny jeans, cowboy boots, and my go to leather jacket. I also added in a red lip for fun.

These guys are on their way to becoming the next big band in country music. They have the same southern rock vibe as Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Skynyrd’s still going strong 40 years later. So I predict that this band will be around for the long run.

Make sure y’all take a chance to take a listen to their music over on iTunes & pre-order the album while you’re there.
