CONCERT REVIEW: Eric Church || The Chief & His Guitar

Eric Church // The Chief

PLOT TWIST:

Just the man & his guitar.

If you keep up with Eric Church on social media or really any country website, you might have seen that recently at his Salt Lake City, Utah tour stop on the sold out Outsiders World Tour… well, long story short; he ended up doing the entire show, BY HIMSELF! The band and crew were sick with the stomach flu. (More info about that on his website)

The show can’t end because the band is sick, right? Most artists would cancel their show or reschedule, not the chief.
He was NOT going to let anyone go home and have no Saturday night plans.

Eric’s passion and dedication shined tonight & he played his show ACOUSTIC.
(Seriously, now he needs to make an acoustic album)

The amount of respect I have for artists is high, and now it is even higher for Eric.

Eric started out the night with his current hit (and my favorite Talladega, he also explained what was happening, continued to play some of his biggest hits like Creepin’, Drink In My Hand, and These Boots, and of course boots were flyin’ onto the small stage that had been set up, unlike the huge stage he usually plays on. He did play some songs from The Outsiders album but not much; I’m assuming maybe because the songs have props (I have seen this show once last summer) // with it being JUST the chief, and one or two guitar players that were feeling “okay”…. it wasn’t possible for that to happen. He then closed the set with Springsteen, as the crowd went absolutely W I L D, and yes we of course helped him out.

Nonetheless, Church was absolutely breathtaking and PHENOMINAL, he made everyone swoon with his hit “Like A Wrecking Ball” from The Outsiders album // such an intimate song, and even better acoustic!

Now what do you wear to an Eric Church concert? BLACK.
I paired some black riding boots with black leggings & paired a Levi vest with my Trouble Maker tank.
[Insert “drink in my hand” lyric here]

This is definitely a more “raw & shortened” concert review; there are no words for how amazing this acoustic concert was, I have been watching out for articles about this show, unless you were there you will never understand how amazing that arena was to him flying solo, however, on Memorial Day when Eric Church comes back to Utah (He is honoring our tickets from Saturday night for a show on Memorial Day with the band! How amazing!?) I will have a more detailed and more intense review for you.

However, here is Springsteen and the closing statement, from my YouTube channel.

To See A Little More Of The Chief...
